Finding out wether long term use of mobile phones casues cancer tumours was the objective of the Interphone project. 50 scientist working in 13 countries on 14,000 people for six years with a cost of $30 000 000 were supposed to publish the final paper this month.

Serious flaws in the study’s design and contradicting results from national research teams has brought the study to chaos. The scientist are busy disagreeing with each other, according to The Economist.
